Lost keyless entry remote for your car? Never pay the full price at dealership
I've recently lost a remote fob for my 2004 Toyota Corolla. My first action was to call the Toyota dealership to find out how much it is going to cost me. The dealership happily (!) quoted me $ 178.00 + Taxes (14% in Ontario, Canada) for the remote fob and $ 50.00 + Taxes for programming it with my keyless entry system. I was obviously shocked. I was not ready to pay about $ 260 (including taxes) for one keyless entry remote.
I took the challenge to save my hard earned dollars. I researched on Internet and within few minutes spending on Google (I love Google!), I found a way to get the working keyless entry remote for much less. In case, if you need one follow this simple process.
1. Go to eBay and search for "Keyless Entry Remote YourCarMake Model".
2. Buy the cheapest available remote (Most of the remotes are in the range of $ 10.00 to $ 20.00). Also, take into consideration the shipping charge. So, basically, buy the one which is cheapest including the shipping and handling charges.
3. Most of time, eBay merchant send you the programming instructions for the remote.
4. If you don't receive the programming instructions, don't worry, simply go to this website and enter your Make and Model of the car and print out the programming instructions.
5. Follow programming instructions (don't use your brain).
6. Save more than $ 225 !!!
